Differences between messages and events in Windows

Source: Internet
Author: User

Windows program development is mainly based on events and messages. Messages are supported at the underlying layer of the Windows operating system. In the development of the Windows SDK, message loop processing functions are involved. Events are message-based and triggered after a message arrives (though not rigorous ). Messages are sent to the operating system to allow the operating system to process message processing functions. When an event is triggered, the program immediately calls the event processing function.

The activation method is different. A message is generated by a customer operation on the server, and an event is the result of feedback from the operating system when processing the message.
