Disable Windows update and win7window in Win7
1. Set the Registry to Disable Automatic Updates

Press the combination key "windows + r", open the "run" column, and enter "regedit ", open the registry and find the path HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Policies \ Explorer. Right-click the column on the right and choose "DWORD (32-bit) "value"-"name" NoWindowsUpdate "-" double-click it and add the value data to "1. If there is no Explorer directory, you also need to create a new one.

Start running regedit expand HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Policies \ Microsoft \ Windows \ WindowsUpdate \ AU binary value NoAutoUpdate
Set 0 to disabled (Gray) to 1.

 

2. Disable windows update with a policy

Gpedit. msc cannot be used for Windows 7 Starter Edition, Home, and Home Premium versions. You need to download Gpedit Installer.exe. Install the SDK as an administrator. Start -- run -- gpedit. msc.
