Disable ipv6 module in CentOS

To disable the ipv6 module, follow these steps:

# Chkconfig ip6tables off

# Vim/etc/modprobe. d/dist. conf

Add at the end, note the format Alias Net-pf-10off Optionsipv6disable = 1

# Vim/etc/hosts

#: 1 localhost localhost6 localhost6.localdomain6

The last restart takes effect

Then, check if ipv6 does not exist.

# Lsmod | grep ipv6 is disabled if nothing is displayed.

The following two items are not supported:

# Vim/etc/sysconfig/network-script/ifcfg-eth0

Listen 6init = no Add item

# Vim/etc/sysconfig/network

NETWORKING_IPV6 = no
