However, if you purchase a wireless router, in addition, you must also use the original wired wireless router or your broadband network, which is connected from the neighboring home wireless router, that is, two or more wireless routers are used in the same LAN ), how to configure a wireless router becomes an important issue.

Most users who have access to broadband wireless routers know that the ports on the broadband wireless router are divided into WAN ports (connected to ADSL) and LAN ports (connected to computers. A broadband wireless router has the following features during work: data streams from the LAN to the WAN are not restricted by default through the wireless router, and data streams from the WAN to the LAN are not allowed by default. Note: The wireless access part of the wireless broadband wireless router belongs to the LAN range. That is to say, packets sent from the computer in the LAN are sent to the LAN port (connected to the computer) of the wireless router by default ), it can be smoothly sent from the WAN port (ADSL) through a wireless router, but after the active data packets from the WAN end enter the WAN port (ADSL, by default, wireless routers do not allow those packets to pass through. According to my actual test, the network cable connected from a wired and wireless router can be connected to the WAN port (ADSL) and LAN port (Computer) of the wireless router, can be used for wireless networks.

Note: the premise of this article is that you have a network cable connected from a normal wired wireless router. The network cable is connected to the WAN port of the wireless router (connected to ADSL ), static IP addresses are used for interconnection. For example, a LAN port connected to a wireless router (connected to a computer) uses a wireless router as a Wireless AP. Below, I will introduce two Connection Methods:

The wireless routers I use are TP-link R460 and TP-link WR541G. Therefore, the first connection method is: connect the WAN port of the wireless router (connected to ADSL): R460 LAN port (connected to computer) --- WR541G WAN port (connected to ADSL). The second connection method is: the LAN port connected to the wireless router (connected to a computer) is R460 LAN port (connected to a computer) --- WR541G LAN port (connected to a computer ). Connect to the WAN port (ADSL) of a vro: R460 LAN port (computer connection) --- WR541G WAN port (ADSL connection). Here we assume that the LAN port of R460 is connected to a computer) use the default IP address 192.168.1.1, that is, you can enter the R460 wireless router settings through 192.168.1.1, and R460 has been properly set, you can access the Internet)

First, use a network cable on a computer to connect to the wireless router WR541G) LAN port (connected to a computer). The default setting interface is 192.168.1.1, and other wireless routers are based on the actual default IP address ); first, enter the LAN interface in the wireless router WR541G, set it to 172.16.1.1, and then save and restart the wireless router. Then, the default IP address of the wireless router WR541G will be changed to 172.16.1.1.

After setting, open IE, enter 172.16.1.1 in the address bar, and enter the WR541G configuration page of the wireless router. Set the WAN port (connected to ADSL) of the wireless router and connect to ADSL at the WAN port) select a static IP address in the connection type and set it to: IP address 192.168.1.X (X ranges from 2 to 254) subnet mask 255.255.255.0 Default Gateway 192.168.1.1. Note that IP address 192.168.1.X, where X must have never been used in the LAN. Otherwise, a conflict may occur.

Set and save and restart the wireless router WR541G. For network wireless network settings, refer to the previous Wireless LAN (wireless router) installation and configuration process on the home page. Description: Why do I need to set the LAN IP address of the wireless router first. This is because the IP address of the R460 LAN port (connected to a computer) is the default gateway address for the wireless router WR541G. Because the default IP address of the wireless router WR541G is 192.168.1.1, the default IP address of R460 is 192.168.1.1. To avoid IP conflict between the two, you must set the default IP address of the wireless router WR541G to 172.16.1.1.

Note:

1. At this time, the IP address of the wireless network adapter must be set to 172.16.1.X (the X value ranges from 2 to 254), and the gateway and DNS can be set to 172.16.1.1. However, if the wireless router WR541G opens the DHCP service, you may not need to set it. However, I did not set it successfully.

2. Enter the IP address of the wireless router, and set the IP address of the R460 wired wireless router to 192.162.1.1 WR541G wireless router to 176.16.1.1.

3. After the connection is completed, the wireless router WR541G also functions as a wireless router. Therefore, the TCP/IP attributes of the computer connected to the wireless router WR541G must be consistent with that of the wireless router WR541G!
