To monitor a Windows host through SNMP, you must install the Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) Windows component on the monitored server. Take Windows 7 as an example:
First, find "uninstall program" in the control panel ";
In the displayed window, click "enable or disable windows ";
Select the "Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP)" option in the pop-up window, click "OK", and complete the installation as prompted.
After installing the SNMP service, right-click "computer" and choose "manage"
In the displayed "Computer Management" window, find "service" in the left-side navigation bar and find "SNMP Service" on the right;
Double-click the "SNMP Service" option. In the displayed window, switch to the "Security" tab, such as adding "accepted community name" and receiving SNMP Packets sent by those hosts.
The "accepted community name" can be any character defined by the user. simply accept the SNMP Packets sent by those hosts and define them as your Nagios server. The SNMP Service of the monitored Windows host is configured here.
