Word2003 file Encryption method
Method One: File Encryption "file" Menu settings: 1. Open the document that you want to encrypt. 2. Select the "Save as" dialog box for "Files" and select the "Security" option in the tools. Word2007 file Encryption method
Method One: 1. Open the document, click the Office Button, select "Prepare", and select "Encrypt Document" from the menu that pops up. 2. At this point, an "Encrypted document" dialog box appears, select "Encrypt the contents of this file", enter the password you want to add, and then save the document with the password set up.
Method Two: 1. Open the document, also click Office Button, and then select Save As to select Word document in the Save copy of the document. 2. In the Save As dialog box, click the Tools button below and select General Options from the Drop-down menu. 3. In the Pop-up General Options dialog box, you can encrypt Word documents.
Self-creating Word Template Encryption method
You can encrypt a template if we don't want someone to create a template by using the generic template (Narmal.dot) that Word provides. The method is to open the generic template file first (the filename is narmal.dot and can usually be found in the C:\ProgramFiles\Mi-crosoft\Templetas folder). Then set the password with the "method one" or "method two" of the generic template above. The last point in the toolbar, save (or save from the File menu). You will be prompted to enter your password each time you start Word.
