Example of Linux rescue mode experiment

Linux rescue mode is widely used when Linux encounters some configuration files, such as kernel problem/fstab, and disk fsck error and so on when the system cannot start. This eliminates the complex and time-consuming task of reloading our systems and architectures.

Here is a demonstration of the process, I hope for the future work will be helpful.

Experiment Description: A computer because Xen kernel and selinux conflict, not be accepted by computer system, unable to start

1/install CD into the CD-ROM drive, let the computer boot from the CD drive. Reach the installation interface and press F5 to enter rescue mode.

2/After entering the rescue mode, enter the Linux rescue and press ENTER to start the rescue mode. Then follow the prompts step-by-step to build a rescue Linux shell terminal.
