1. Bitmap image

A bitmap image is made up of pixel points.

(1) Start Photoshop CS5, execute "file" → "open" command, open a "people" bitmap image.

(2) Use the Zoom tool to enlarge the image. You can see that the bitmap image renders a mosaic state. We see a small square of color is called a pixel, bitmap image is made up of pixel points.

(3) Open the Information palette, use the "eyedropper" tool to move at different pixel points, you can see that each pixel has a specific position and color values.

4 Reduce the image to 100% of the state. Create a new "Layer 1".

5 Set the foreground color to "white" and select the Brush tool.
