Firewall test method

The test instrument we use is smartbits 6000B, a Bollen communications company. The console uses an HP desktop that is configured as a PIII 1ghz/128m memory/20g hard drive.

When testing the performance of the hundred Gigabit Firewall, use the two 10/100BASE-TX ports of the smartbits 6000B 10/100m Ethernet smartmetrics module, which is directly connected to the internal and external network of the firewall, as shown in Figure 1. Testing Gigabit Firewall performance is basically the same as the hundred Gigabit firewall, using the two 1000base-sx GBIC of the 1000base-x smartmetrics module, which is directly connected to the inside and outside of the gigabit firewall through the optical fiber.

When testing the firewall against attack capability, use the smartbits 6000B 10/100m Ethernet smartmetrics module's 4 10/100base-tx ports, Connected to the bay's 礖 ammer24 switch (which passed our test to the wire speed), the internal and external network of the firewall is connected to the switch (gigabit firewall is connected to the switch through the fiber). As shown in Figure 2.

The test software is Smartflow 1.50 and Websuite Firewall 1.10.
