Fireworks MX 2004 Remove red eye from photos

Introduction
The Fireworks MX 2004 version adds a tool to remove the red-eye effect from the photo.
The tool acts on a red shadow that removes a specific area from the selected range.
Replaced by the natural color between gray and black.

　　 * Use the red-eye removal tool *
The new Red Eye Removal tool for FWMX04 is located on the toolbar,
The same group as the Rubber Stamp tool and the color substitution tool.
In this group, the color substitution tool is the default tool for use.
Click and hold the color substitution tool to see the pop-up Red Eye removal tool.
Then move the mouse to switch to use.

　　 * Adjust the red eye removal Tool settings *
As with most other tools in FW,
You can adjust the settings for the red-eye removal tool under the property surface.
See figure below:

◇ Size
Size setting controls the size of the mouse pointer.
Use the slider to allow the mouse pointer to set the range between 1-100 pixels.
The default size of the red-eye removal tool is 13 pixels.

◇ shape
The Shape Settings tool controls the shape of the mouse pointer.
Shapes have squares and circles to choose from.
The default shape is a circle.

◇ Tolerance
The tolerance setting determines the range of color tones that are replaced.
(0 replaces Red only, 255 replaces all shades with red)
The default tolerance for the red-eye removal tool is 32.

◇ pressure
The pressure setting determines the darkness of the replacement of the red pixel.
The slider range is also from 0-100,
The Red Eye Removal tool defaults to a pressure of 25.

* How to remove red eye effects in photos *
1. Select a bitmap that does have a red eye effect.
The red-eye removal tool can only be applied on a bitmap.
Not used for vector graphs.

2. Select the Red Eye Removal tool from the tool bar.
As noted above, this tool can be found under the color Substitution tool's pop-up menu.

3. Click with the red-eye Removal tool in the red eye effect area of the image display.
This tool converts the Red Shadow part instantly, based on the tolerance settings within the property surface version.
Please note that the conversion section is limited to the shape range set by the tool as shown in the illustration below.

Because the tool searches only for red pixels, the red-eye effect is completely removed.
Adjust the tolerance settings based on your image to refine the hue for the Red Eye Removal tool.
As shown in the revised image below, the tool has converted the Red Shadow part to Dark shadows.

　　* Use tips *
◇ the size of the tool determines the area of the image,
Using a small size setting will be more accurate than a large size setting.

◇ if the object is a light-colored eye,
Need to be lower than the pressure set when dealing with dark eyes.
