In May 21, Google released the new version of chrome, claiming to have made some substantial improvements and the speed has also improved. I have been using chrome V2 since its release. I like it very much, but it is disappointing in some aspects.
New Features
This version of Chrome has some new features we have not noticed-the form auto-filling feature, this means that you do not need to enter the user name and password every time you access a page (make sure the entire site is fully loaded-otherwise your details will not be recorded ), full Screen mode (Press F11) is especially convenient for netbook users. There is also an option for you to remove thumbnails on the new tab, in this way, no one knows what you are working on or watching... oh... something inappropriate.
I'm glad Chrome is catching up with Firefox and IE-they both have full screen and form auto-filling features. It is convenient to remove a thumbnail from a new tab. You can use it when you do not want to make the page appear messy or want to display a website.
The interface hasn't changed, which seems good to me, because I like the minimal approach. If you are looking forward to some page changes, You may be disappointed.
High speed but safe?
Google Chrome 2 runs JavaScript faster than the previous version. It even uses the built-in optimization technology such as high-speed cache, which directly searches for call points to record the results of the previous method, which makes chrome quite fast.
However, a faster JavaScript experience also has some drawbacks, because it also means a faster download speed for malware. Stephen chenette, security manager of websense, a network security software provider, said the malware author used JavaScript on 90% of webpages containing malicious scripts.
Javascript-based malware runs faster. Javascript is the carrier of drive-by attacks, said Randy Abrams, Director of Technical Education at ESET, a security software provider.
Improved Stability
Google promises better stability for this version. I must say that before using chrome to open 20 tabs, I think its stability is okay. I did this test on two computers and the results were the same-about 70% of the sites refused access and some crashed. When you open so many tabs, the interface is too crowded and you cannot find the tags you want. In addition, all tags cannot be refreshed at the same time.
Also, it is interesting that Google Chrome does not always have access to Google YouTube.
Disappointment
Don't get me wrong. I like chrome very much. Now it has full screen mode, which is ideal for netbooks and the speed factor makes it suitable for systems with less powerful performance. But -- still no plug-in? No ad blocking? To be honest, I can't live without some Firefox plug-ins, such as hyperwords and javasaholic. In the face of the reality, no plug-ins will make many people do not choose chrome.
There are other things that I think are worth questioning. After chrome is installed, googleupdate.exe starts to run automatically. This is nothing. But you cannot close it, so it will often connect to the network, search for updates, and occupy your memory. It is good to always keep the software to the latest version, but it is a bit immoral to allow users to disable it or set it to manual start.
I don't like it any more. After the crash, the hard disk started to go crazy. After the Chrome browser is uninstalled, it disappears and appears again after being installed again. Maybe I have doubts, but it seems that Chrome is scanning my hard disk. Why?
Summary
Although many aspects still need to be improved, I Like Chrome's fast and serious style. However, Firefox is still my default browser. Let's talk about it like chrome for speed, Firefox for efficiency, and IE for those who like it.
