Many people suffer from delays. I am not a lazy person, but some things do drag and drop until the fire is imminent. It is difficult to make decisions on some things. I decided to explore the root cause of delay.

Why is delay?

Perfectionist. Sometimes I want to take everything into consideration, but it must take time and energy. In the busy work and life, it is indeed limited to schedule it quietly. Since there is not enough time for investigation and research, simply do not do it. So it was a drag-and-drop operation.

Ostrich strategy. It is said that when an ostrich is in danger, it will bury its head in the sand. Pretending to be invisible, it is naturally a bit confusing for the moment. The occasional ostrich strategy is not wise. You can turn a blind eye to self-deception on some key things. There is always a moment of explosion, but it's just time.

No matter whether it is important or not. We have to face too many challenges and pressures every day. How can we allocate our energy and time? Open your mailbox early in the morning. Even if you read an email in one minute, it will easily slip away in one hour. In addition to some meetings and telephones, the efficient time is actually very limited.

What should I do?

Start 2 minutes first. Every week, I can calm down and write something for an hour. Friday evening has many choices, many temptations, and many natural excuses. But I know that if I do not write it now, the appropriate time will never come again. So I chose to write for only 2 minutes. If you are interested, you will naturally get it in one breath. If you don't feel it, do anything else. In most cases, once I start to write some text, it will not be interrupted easily. SO 2 minutes may become 30 minutes, and I am happy to feel tired.

This is the same as the meaning behind Newton's first law.

Objects in motion tend tostay in motion. objects at rest tend to stay at rest.

I translated it as "the static person is constant, and the movements are endless ."

2 minutes, let yourself easily start, is equivalent to using a small thrust, once started, the subsequent naturally smooth.

 

Find the direction of the Force.It is easy to get overwhelmed by trivial matters every day. We seem very busy and hard-working, but we often look back, it seems that the effort is not critical. Naturally, it is far from the ideal goal. Time management is a big topic. You may be familiar with this table. But for me, it is not easy to find a balance.

 

Things are coming, and they are quickly categorized by importance and closeness. If we can give more time and attention to things that are not urgent but important (not urgent, but important), we will naturally form a positive loop. Otherwise, the situation will get worse and worse.

 

Have fun.Sometimes it is really a headache and I don't know how to start it. Or you have no idea. Let's relax and think about how fun it can be. People have limited perseverance and energy, and it is unlikely that they will always rely on perseverance. When people are interested, the efficiency is naturally the highest. Consider this as a game, and you may feel it slowly. By the way, don't forget to reward yourself in time!
