Flash CS3 simulation Art design 3.6: Use mask to create focus effect

The most exciting of the new features in most flash CS3 is the introduction of PSD and AI. We finally have a platform for integration between Photoshop and illustrator. In this example we will edit a picture in Hotoshop, save it as a PSD file, and import it in Flash. We'll add some as to add some interaction effects. 1. Obviously, the first step is to start with a picture. It may be a good idea to search your hard drive or use your digital camera. It is not necessarily a raster picture or a photo. It can be a vector graphic drawn in flash or imported from another program. 2. Open the picture in Photoshop and copy a layer, and you get two copies of the same picture. Add a Gaussian blur to a picture and save the file as a PSD file.
