5.11 PSD Import (Jib JAB)

A very cool feature in Flash CS3 is the introduction of PSD. You are now capable of importing PSD directly into Flash. This is a huge job improvement and is a great feature that connects Photoshop with Flash.

1. This is the layer that the Photoshop file sees. Maybe a lot of pictures have a transparent background. Transparency is one of many features that you need to maintain when you import.

2. In flash, go to File > import and navigate to your PSD file. The PSD Import Wizard opens automatically. , there is also a handy preview widget for each layer that you can select or delete to import. Other options include the style of the editing layer, converting to movie clips, compression, and how the layers are distributed on the timeline (layers or frames).
