Flying rhythm-using Photoshop to make a scatter effect

"The past is like smoke, Acacia Still, several times dream back, dash blurred." When the picture of the hand is flying, it is like the memory of the heart fluttering in the wind. Today, we use Photoshop to break the picture (this example is tested in the Photoshop CS Simplified Chinese version).

Step one: Run Photoshop and open a character photo. On the Layer palette, click the Create New Layer button at the bottom to create a new layer and name it "scatter" (see Figure 1). Figure 1: Creating a new layer and naming

Step Two: Press the D key to restore the foreground and background colors to the default black and white. Select the rectangular marquee tool, then in the options bar, set the style to fixed size, set the width and height behind it to 10 pixels, and then click in the image area to draw a 10-pixel square, pressing the Alt+delete key to fill it with black. Then select the menu command edit → Custom brush, and in the dialog box, name the brush "scatter" and click OK to determine. At this point, the small square filled with black has completed its mission, press DELETE to remove the black content, and then press the Ctrl+d key to cancel the selection.
Step three: Select the Brush tool, and click the Brush tab in the Panel on the right side of the top option bar to expand the brush palette. In order to facilitate the operation, the brush palette is dragged out to make it an ordinary floating palette. Select "Brush tip shape" on the left side of the drawing panel and select the "scatter" tip that we just customized in the list of preset brushes on the right. Select the spacing item and set the value to 400% (see Figure 2), click on the left side to select the scatter item, and then set the scatter value to 800% on the right, and tick the "two axes" item. The quantity is set to 5, the quantity jitter is set to 50%, and the control is selected "off".

Fourth step: After setting the brush, on the "scatter" layer along the portrait of a few laps, painting the density of the best to have a bit of layering, such as the interior of the portrait to be more dense, gradually spread to the time, to become thinner (see Figure 3), so that the final picture effect will be good. In the process of painting, you can change the spacing of the nib, scatter value, quantity and so on, so as to achieve different effects.

Fifth step: Double-click the background layer, on the new layer of the pop-up dialog box directly clicked "OK" button to determine, so that the background layer into a normal layer, and then drag it to the top of the scatter layer. Move the cursor between two layers, press the ALT key, then the cursor becomes two intersecting circles, and click to create a clipping mask between two layers. In this way, the underlying image can only be displayed through a scatter point in the "scatter" layer, which is the same as the mask of the former. After you create a clipping mask, a horizontal line appears below the name of the scatter layer, and the name of the photo layer is indented, with a curved arrow pointing below that indicates the relationship between the two layers.

Sixth step: You can continue to paint on the scatter layer editing, until the effect is satisfactory. Interested readers can also add layer effects (menu command "layer → layer style → projection") to the scatter layer, and finally perform the layer → flatten layers command to merge all the layers. As shown in Figure 4, the final effect chart of this example, it feels good.
