Alternative Assembly plot

Sometimes the assembly has multiple selectable positions and wants to be expressed in the drawing, i.e. an alternative assembly plot.

As shown in 1, the assembly handle has two position options.

If you need to express this alternative assembly in a drawing, you need to first define an "alternative assembly" in the assembly, as shown in 2.

New member, if the assembly is not saved, you will be prompted to save it. There are two options in an alternative assembly: Create Assembly family and create an alternate location for assembly, which, once determined, cannot be converted. The alternate location is selected here, and the member is named.

The alternate location is defined here by adjusting the variables.

Note in Figure 4, "apply edits to all members" to remove the selection.

Click "Edit Table" to define the values of the variables in the member.

The model in Figure 1 is member 1 and member 2, and the assembly is saved for subsequent plots.

Create a new drawing, add a drawing through the Sheet View wizard, and pop Up the 6 dialog box. Here you can choose which member is the primary position and which is the alternate location. After that, you can see that the alternate position is a dotted line, as shown in Figure 7.

The primary and alternate positions can be changed, the view is right-select "Set primary position and alternate location", and back to the Figure 6 dialog box to set, update results 8 is shown.
