Apache Open Source Project--httpcomponents

Httpcomponents, the previous HttpClient project, can be used to provide efficient, up-to-date, feature-rich client/server programming toolkits that support the HTTP protocol, and it supports the latest versions and recommendations of the HTTP protocol. However, the httpcomponents now contains multiple sub-projects, which are:

• Httpcomponents Core

• Httpcomponents Client
• Httpcomponents asyncclient
• Commons HttpClient

• Implements all HTTP methods (Get,post,put,head, etc.)

• Supports automatic steering

• Support for HTTPS protocol
