1: Create a table in Geodatabase (pgdb, fgdb, and ArcSDE GDB) on the arcgis9 desktop ), if the table name starts with GDB (GDB, gdb1, gdbsdf, gdb_3d, etc.) cannot be seen after it is created, the table actually exists, if you create another table with the same name, the system will prompt that the table already exists. You can use pgdb to open access and view the table. There is no problem in creating element classes. This problem is not found in arcgis10.

Problem Analysis: at present, we only guess that the gdb schema of arcgis9 is all tables starting with GDB _. You cannot see These schemas in arccatalog, it is suggested that tables starting with GDB are blocked and not displayed. However, although GDB schema is simplified in arcgis10, there are still four tables starting with GDB, you can see that arcgis10 creates a table, but it is a bit strange. Maybe arcgis10 writes the names of the four tables directlyProgram.

2: when using ArcGIS Desktop to import and export data, an objectid field is created by default for element classes created by ArcGIS and other object systems, which is a unique identifier, some users will use this objectid and may record the corresponding objectid to correspond to the specified elements. However, during the data import and export process, especially the import, the user will be very depressed about this objectid rescheduling, so the user cannot use this objectid. What should I do?

Problem Analysis: You should use the import/export tool to import and export data. This tool is used to rearrange objectid. We recommend that you directly copy/paste the dataset or element class object, in this way, we will not rearrange objectid. What is the original one? You may try it.

3: In the process of using ArcGIS Desktop to import data, for example, the "output location" in the import box prompts a small Red Cross, the path does not exist or the error-000732 error occurs?

Solution: Set the relative path "database connections/connection to Lish. modify SDE to the absolute path "C:/users/GIS/appdata/Roaming/ESRI/export top10.0/arccatalog/connection to Lish. "SDE", because some machines have similar problems, some machines do not, the reason is still unknown.

4: When SDE creates or imports data that contains the field name "area", the field name automatically adds a prefix?

Q: this problem exists in the arcgis9 software, but not in arcgis10. The reason is unknown!

5: When loadraster is added to the created rasterdataset, if the entire raster is loaded, inputraster prompts a red cross. You must double-click the raster object to open it into three bands to load it, how can we load the entire raster object instead of the band?

Problem analysis: the Rand number selected by default when you create rasterdataset is "1". You can set this value to "3.

6: You can use join to connect tables (element classes and common tables). However, sometimes, if a database is not in a Windows operating system, how can this problem be solved?

Problem Analysis: Join uses the OLE mechanism for mounting, but the Windows operating system has the OLE driver by default, but not the Windows operating system, therefore, non-Windows operating systems do not support Ole and join operations. Therefore, you can use the SDE command to perform (sdetable-O create_view) different methods, the results are the same, and the view created using the SDE command can be saved. Read-Only views can be treated as a read-only element class.

7. Use arccatalog to export the ArcSDE data to pgdb and import it again. The range of some fields varies.

Problem Analysis: The imported field is used as an example. Because pgdb is the common access field, the maximum value of the access text field is 255, which is greater than this value to the remarks field, if the length of a user's ArcSDE text field is 1000, it is converted to the remarks field after being imported to pgdb because it is greater than 255, and then into the ArcSDE. The remarks field does not record the length, directly convert the comment length to clob (clob stores more than 2000 of the text in Oracle databases). Therefore, if you do not want to encounter this problem during data import and export, replace the exported pgdb with fgdb.

8: When you use ArcMap or the client development (ArcGIS Engine) to perform simple operations, such as enlarging a map, the following phenomenon occurs: A blank area of the map prompts "“gsrvr.exe" error or "Network Io error" error?

Problem Analysis: First, check whether your database matches your ArcSDE version. This error is typical of arcgis9.3/9.3.1 and oracle10.2.0.1 (note the minor version number of the database ), we recommend that you set the database to oracle10.2.0.3. If there is no such reason, you should pay attention to the resource issues in custom development.

9: when you are using arccatalog editing, the message "create: an unexpected failure occurred", ORA-20092: Maximum number of grids per feature (8000) excessed is prompted when you save the data. ORA-06512: In "sde_st_domain_methods" line 1487 and so on.

Problem Analysis: ArcGIS cannot contain more than 8000 grids by default. This is a hard rule, it indicates that the grid setting of the layer you edited is too small or the size of an object you edited is too large. You can either delete the index, re-create the index, or edit the grid value to change to a larger grid value.

10: The End Of The ArcMap import datagram Ora-01480 STR bind value null character is missing.

Problem solved: if the user encounters this problem, the user's machine configuration should be
Operating System: Windows Server 2003/2008 Enterprise x64 SP2
Oracle version 10.2.0.4.0-64bit
ArcSDE version: ArcSDE 9.3.1 for oracle10g64
Desktop version: 9.3.1
Vector storage: st_geometry
There is no way to solve this problem. If the user's configuration fully meets the preceding requirements, congratulations, you are so lucky that you have met this problem. As of press time, arcgis9.3.1 has not solved this problem.

You can either use direct connection to import data or use blob storage instead of st_geometry storage. It is estimated that there will be more people to choose the first type.

11: When ArcMap uses the identify image, it finds that the length and area are both 0?

Problem Analysis: this user must use the sdo_geometry geometric data storage method. This structure does not have to record the length and area of the st_geometry structure, so this is normal.
