AutoCAD Draw rings and multi-segment lines

Example 3 draw no Smoking logo pattern

Step 1 Create a new graphics file

(1) to start the AutoCAD 2002 system, "ACAD.DWT" for the template to create new graphics files.

Step 2 Graphic Drawing

(1) First use the "donut" command to draw a circle. Select Menu "Draw (Drawing)" → "Donut (ring)" and enter at the command line as prompted:

Command:_donut
Specify inside diameter of donut <0.5000>:4 Enter	Specifies that the inner diameter of the ring is 4
Specify outside diameter of donut <1.0000>:5 Enter	Specifies that the outer diameter of the ring is 5
Specify center of Donut or <exit>:5,5 Enter	Specify the center of the ring as (0,0)
Specify center of Donut or <EXIT>: Enter	Press the ENTER key to determine

(2) Now use the "pline" command to draw a multiple-segment line with a width. Select the icon on the Draw toolbar and, as prompted, enter the command line:

Command: _pline
Specify start point:3.409,6.591 Enter	Specify the starting point for the multiple-segment line
Current Line-width is 0.0000 Specify next point or [Arc/halfwidth/length/undo/width]: w Enter
	Select the "w" option to specify the width of the multi-segment line
Specify starting width <0.0000>: 0.5 Enter	Specifies that the start width of a multiple-segment line is 0.5
Specify ending width <0.5000>: Enter	Determine the end width of a multiple-segment line is also 0.5
Specify next point or [Arc/halfwidth/length/undo/width]: @4.5<-45 Enter
	Specify a position below the multi-segment line
Specify next point or [Arc/close/halfwidth/length/undo/width]: Enter
	Press the ENTER key to determine

(3) To draw two more sections of the line, the process is as follows:

Command: _pline
Specify start point:1.4645,1.4645 Enter	Specify the starting point for the multiple-segment line
Current Line-width is 0.5000 Specify next point or [Arc/halfwidth/length/undo/width]: w Enter
	Select the "w" option to specify the width of the multi-segment line
Specify starting width <0.5000>: 1 Enter	Specifies that the start width of a multiple-segment line is 1
Specify ending width <1.0000>: Enter	Determine the end width of a multiple-segment line is also 1
Specify next point or [Arc/halfwidth/length/undo/width]: @8<45 Enter
	Specify a position below the multi-segment line
Specify next point or [Arc/close/halfwidth/length/undo/width]: Enter
	Press the ENTER key to determine
Command: _pline
Specify Start Point:enter	Press Enter directly to specify the endpoint of the previous multiple line as the starting point for the second multi-segment line
Current Line-width is 1.0000 Specify next point or [arc/halfwidth/length/undo/width]:@2<45 Enter
	Keep the original width unchanged, specify the endpoint of the multi-segment line
Specify next point or [Arc/close/halfwidth/length/undo/width]: Enter
	Press the ENTER key to determine

(4) Finally add the text. Select a rectangular area by selecting the icon in the Draw toolbar and then clicking and dragging the mouse at the location of the ring in the drawing window. Clicking the mouse button will pop up the Multiline text Editor (multiline Text Editor) dialog box, as shown in Figure 4-7.

(5) in the Multiline Text Editor (multi-line Editor) dialog box, select the Character (character) tab, select the "Arial" item in the font Drop-down list, then enter 1.5 in the Font height drop-down list box and enter the word "no smoking" in the text editing area. As shown in Figure 4-7, click the OK button to determine, complete the drawing work.
