These days solve the issue of blank pages in the Reporting Service Report. Several notes are found and recorded for future reference.
- Note that a report contains subreports. If both the parent and child reports contain pagination characters, a blank page is displayed. Therefore, remove the subreport pagination character;
- If a report contains a subreport and only the parent report has a paging character, if the subreport does not have data, the space occupied by the subreport is displayed by default, it may be because you need to take care of non-tables. This problem may lead to blank pages, therefore, you need to set the "visibility-> Expression" for the subreport attribute in the parent report to determine whether the subreport is displayed;
- Try to use the "insert pagination character before this list" in the list attribute (insert pagination character before it will not be blank on the first page, which must have been handled by reporting service ), instead of "inserting a paging character behind this list", selecting the latter will sometimes not pagination, which should be a bug.
- Do not leave a blank space at the bottom of the Report. Otherwise, although the data only needs one page, the space occupied by the extra blank space may cause a blank page to be printed.
