Cell is one of the most important group members in Excel, and using a good cell allows you to improve your office level greatly. Here are some tips for sharing a few cells.

1. To the cell with the same subtraction operation

In Excel, you can use the Paste free feature when you want to add, subtract, multiply, or work with the values in each cell in a cell or range.

For example, if you want to multiply each cell in the selection by 2, you can do this by entering 2 in a cell outside the selection, selecting the cell and copying it, as shown in Figure 1.

Then select the range of cells that you want to do the same action. When you are done, click the Edit menu, select Paste Selective, open the Paste Selective dialog box, select the Multiply single option in the Operations field, click OK, and the Settings in the dialog box are shown in Figure 2.

Each cell in the selection area is multiplied by 2, and the results are displayed in each cell, and the rest of the operation is similar.

Small note: For this operation must pay attention to the order of operation: Select and copy the number of cells to multiply, then select the range of cells you want to operate, and then perform the edit-paste selective command.

You can also manipulate cells by using this feature, such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing cells themselves.

Operation. The procedure is as follows: Select the cell copy you want to manipulate, as shown in Figure 3.

Then click the edit-paste Selective command, open the Paste Selective dialog box, select the operation in the Operations column, and click OK to implement the cell itself.

2. Adding fixed characters in a cell with existing data

If the data has been entered, how do you want to add a fixed character to the front or back of some data?

For example, to add a fixed number "0000" to the data in each cell in column B, you can do so: Select column C, right-click, select Insert from the shortcut menu, and insert a blank column after column B, as shown in Figure 4.

Select C3 Cell, enter "=b3& 0000" in the formula bar, and click the Confirmation button, and the number in the cell changes, as shown in Figure 5. (Note: The quotation marks entered in the formula bar must be in English half-width quotes)

Then, with the AutoFill feature, you can drag the automatic fill handle to change the data in one column.
