"It works well in identifying hardware and using it, and of course it also means that there is still much work to do to make it easier for hardware to identify and use them correctly ."

He said he has begun to notice that many production applications are migrating to the OpenStack cloud. He also warned that most of the migration to OpenStack from industrialization is just an early adopters and has not yet become the mainstream.

For competitors, whitehust mentioned Microsoft, HP and Mirantis in particular. In his view, many organizations still use multiple operating systems. If some of them use Microsoft products, they prefer open-source solutions as an alternative. He said he hasn't seen much face-to-face competition with HP on the cloud side, but does.
