Change mysql password, and change mysql root Password

1. mysql does not have a password at first. You can press enter directly when entering the password, but you must enter the password before logging on. Next, let's change the password when you know the old password.

Go to the mysql System: set password for root @ localhost = password ('newpassword ');Set the root password to newpassword.

2. Another scenario is to forget the original password.

First, stop the mysql service: service mysqld stop;

Skip authorization start: mysql_safe -- skip-grant-tables &

Log on as a root user: mysql-u root

Update the mysql database user table: use mysql; → update user set password = password ('newpassword') where user = 'root' and host = 'localhost'; → flush privileges; → quit

Restart mysql service: service mysqld restart
