Optiplex Desktop Series

1, start the computer, when you see the Dell splash screen, press "F2" key to enter the BIOS;

2, press NUM LOCK (Digital lock), Caps lock (case lock), Scroll Lock (Volume screen lock) three keys to the keypad above the corresponding three lights lit;

3, on the premise that three lights are all lit, restore the BIOS settings according to the following methods:

Alt+f-factory Reset, after this key combination if you hear a crisp "Bi" sound, indicating that the operation was successful;

Alt+e--Clears (releases) the interrupt resource, which is reassigned by the system at the next boot, and if a crisp "Bi" sound is heard after the key is pressed, the operation is successful;

Alt+d--Restores the factory default value of the current cursor option;

Alt+b--Save the changed settings and restart.

Clear Password method One: After the password input box, enter the password and press the CTRL key and enter key can be cleared;

Clear Password Method Two: Locate the PSWD jumper on the motherboard, unplug the jumper and restart the system, the system will prompt the password has been disabled, and then shut down the system, re-plug the PSWD jumper.

Second, other Inspiron models:

Set a shortcut to the boot order

1, in the Dim4300, Dim8100, Dim8200, GX50, GX240, GX150 and GX400 models, while pressing the "CTRL+ALT+F8" key combination, the boot Device Selection menu will appear, you can select this startup device in this menu.

2, in all models of the new version of the BIOS provides a new feature: Press the F12 button on the boot to bring up a one-time boot menu, in this menu, you can select the startup device.

Note: This menu is only valid for this launch and will boot the system in the boot order set in the BIOS on the next boot
