5. Deploy High Availability of exchange 2013 CAS Server Load balancer

In current exchange 2013, the client points to the unique guid of the user's mailbox. The CAS server searches for this GUID Based on the Active Directory site and then finds the correct mailbox server target. Therefore, CAS array objects are no longer required. Here, you only need to deploy NLB high availability.

5.1. Create an NLB Cluster

On excas1 or excas2. During actual project deployment, we use the NLB Controller on excas1 for related operations.

5.1.1. Open the DNS server and create a host (A or AAA) record,

5.1.4. Enter "connection" at excas1. We can see the private network and shared network address. Select "shared address" and click "Next ".

5.1.5. Set the priority. We can keep the default value.

5.1.6. Configure the cluster address. Here, we enter the IP address in the plan. Click "add"

5.1.7. Configure the cluster domain name. Enter the public network email domain name here. Select "unicast" for the operation mode of the Cluster. If "Multicast" is selected, after the configuration is complete, map the IP address to the MAC address on the Gateway Switch or route.

Verify whether the NLB address is successful. We can use the ping command to test. Run the ping command on any computer with good network connection on the Network: Ping 192.168.255.100 or log on to 192.168.255.100 on a remote desktop.

The operation is still running on the excas1 server.

Entering the https://mail.contoso.com/owa in IE will log on to the exchange 2013 OWA system through excas1 or excas2 in the background based on the priority settings in NLB.
