FTP file service setup and synchronous transmission
Requirement
Set up an FTP server for file upload and download. At the same time, synchronize the files in the FTP server directory to multiple servers for Synchronous updates. At the same time, the file must control the user's access to the corresponding folder.
The required software is bestsync (synchronous transmission software)
Serv-U (set up FTP)
Operating System: Windows 2003
Procedure
The FTP function built by IIS in Windows 2003 is very weak. It cannot access the specified user site path and control the user's access permissions. Windows 2008 has greatly improved in this regard, permission control is also relatively high. For Windows 2008 operating system, you can use the built-in iis7 to set up the FTP server. Because I use Windows 2003, I chose Serv-U to set up the FTP server.
Download and install it here is not described in detail (the default installation check is good), there are a lot of online, after installation will first prompt to create a domain (does not conflict with the server's own domain)
-
-
- Domain Name
2. Domain type
Only the file transfer domain is checked here.
3. Configure the port
First, query the port on which the server is enabled. If other ports have been modified, use netstat-An to query
4. Create a listening IP Address
Select all available IP addresses by default
5. Encryption
- Test whether FTP is successfully matched
Use a browser to access FTP: // ip
Enter the user password. If the file in the normal access path is configured with FTP, Some browsers may be inaccessible. You can try multiple browsers.
Install bestsync synchronization software
After the software is installed, click the File menu to create a task.
Select the original folder in folder 1, select the FTP path for the latest version 2014, and select only the folder path for version 2011. In folder 2, select the folder path, shared path, or FTP path.
- Sharing path (user name and password need to be shared)
After the configuration is completed, select the path.
- Set the selected synchronization task
Finally, click "OK". Next, click "set selected task". Then, click "OK". (I didn't understand what to choose twice. It doesn't matter if I have to do it multiple times)
Many of these configurations can be modified based on your business needs, such as backup files.
Summary
These are the general steps. You can try the two software. The two software features are powerful and can fully meet the needs of synchronous file upload and update. Of course, you can also choose two-way synchronous update.
