Get the total number of result sets after MySQL query is grouped

Believe that paging query for many developers is a common thing, first according to the query criteria to search the page list data and total records, the total number of records is generally:

Select COUNT (1) as total from xxx where .....

This is fine, but if the condition of the query has a group by

Then there's a problem with getting the totals at this point, which is to get the total number of each group

Workaround:

Select COUNT (1) as Total from (select id from xxx where ..... grouy by ...) as Temp
