Git push error; fatal: the remote end hung up unexpectedly

Run the following command on ubuntu10.04:

Git clone git: // xxx

XXX is the source code path. Copy the code on git and execute the GIT commit and git push commands respectively. After git push is executed, the terminal directly outputs the following error:

Fatal: the remote end hung up unexpectedly

There are no other prompts.

I asked the Google guru, and according to the prompts, most of them are about permissions. I checked carefully and found that this problem does not exist. After a long time, I was reminded by my colleagues that the reason was: git clone git: // XXX. This is a read-only method to get code and cannot push git. The solution is to use git clone git @ xxx, which is a way to obtain the source code by reading and submitting code (GIT push), but requires Password confirmation.
