The Getmerge command in HDFs copies files from a given path in HDFs to a single merged file on the local file system

Bin/hadoopfs-getmerge/user/foo/demofiles Mergrd.txt

Syntax of the Getmerge command

Hadoopfs-getmerge <src> <localdst> [ADDNL]

The first parameter is the path to HDFs, which contains the HDFs directory where you want to connect the files
The second parameter is the local file name of the merged files
The third parameter is optional, indicating whether you need to add a new row at the end of each merged result file
