IMail system IP address modification solution

I. Overview:

1. If the IP address of the local machine is changed, the original settings of IMail must be changed accordingly.

2. This Article is mainly implemented by modifying the registry.

3. For example, if the original IP address of the local machine is "192.168.0.10", the corresponding email host name in Imail is "mail.aaa.net" and Its alias is "aaa.net ", now the IP address of the local machine is changed to "192.168.0.1 ".

II. Specific operations:

1. Open Registry Editor. Select Start> Run: Regedit ".

2. Find the IMail domain name storage location. Select "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE → software → Ipswitch → IMail → domains ".

3. Change the old IP address to a new IP address. Select "192.168.0.10 → right-click → rename" and change it to the new IP Address "192.168.0.1 ".

4. Change the old IP address corresponding to the host to the new IP address. Select "mail.aaa.net → right window → address → double-click", and then change it to the new IP Address "192.168.0.1 ".

5. Go to "IMail administrator" and stop the "SMTP" service before "start". The modification takes effect immediately.

Iii. Description:

1. Do not forget to modify the DNS so that the domain name directs to a new IP address!

2. In 2 K, you do not need to restart the computer during the process from modifying the IP address to modifying the DNS, modifying the registry, and performing subsequent steps.

3. If the new IP address and the old IP address that are no longer in use coexist after entering the registry, delete the old IP address.
