Download and install virtualbox today, create a new Vm of 2003 on it, then install and run it. It feels like a word:
Fast! Almost catch up with the host speed (my host has 256 MB of memory and allocated MB to guest. It is estimated that comrades with higher memory can directly run SQL SERVER + Visual Studio on it ).
The only unpleasant thing is network connection. We used to use VMware and VPC for installation.ProgramAfter automatic configuration, guest can be directly used as a new computer in the LAN, but virtualbox is not like this. Google spent half a day and finally found the solution in the built-in pdf manual:
1. Add a virtual network card: Run in hostVboxmanage createhostif "virtual Nic name"(Of course, the premise is that the installation directory of virtualbox is the current directory, or in your path variable)
2. Bridge your real Nic and virtual NIC: In the network connection view of the host, select two NICs, right-click, and select"Bridging". Then use the TCT/ipsettings of your original real network card to set the new" Network Bridge "(if the IP address and DNS server are automatically obtained, you can skip this step ).
3. Restart host.
4. Set VM network connection mode: Open virtualbox, select Vm, and clickNetworkAnd then selectAttached"Host interface", Click OK.
5. Install virtualbox guest additions: Start the guest system, select the menu item devices-> install guest additions, and then follow the prompts to perform the operation.
6. OK. Now your VM can use the network as a new machine in the LAN.
