Install Apache and Maven in Linux

To use mahout, you must install Tomcat and Maven before comparing it with your own program. Here, record the installation steps.

System Environment: Ubuntu Server

1. install Apache-Tomcat-7.0.19 1. Download apache-tomcat-7.0.19.tar.gz

Http://mirror.bjtu.edu.cn/apache/tomcat/tomcat-7/v7.0.19/bin/apache-tomcat-7.0.19.tar.gz

2. decompress the package to the target directory.

Tar-xzvf apache-tomcat-7.0.19.tar.gz

3. Set Environment Variables

Add the following content to the/etc/profile file (the specific path must be modified according to the installation directory, and my installation directory is/usr/local /):

Export maid =/usr/local/Apache-Tomcat-7.0.19
Path = $ path: $ tomcat_home/bin

Use the source/etc/profile command to make the change take effect.

4. Check whether the test is successful.

Open the browser on the local machine, enter localhost: 8080, or enter "IP Address: 8080" on another computer. If the Apache Tomcat/7.0.19 page is displayed, the installation is successful.

2. Install maven3.0.3
1 download apache-maven-3.0.3-bin.tar.gz

Http://apache.etoak.com//maven/binaries/apache-maven-3.0.3-bin.tar.gz

2. decompress the package to the target directory.

Tar-xzvf apache-maven-3.0.3-bin.tar.gz

3. Set Environment Variables

Add the following content to the/etc/profile file (the specific path must be modified according to the installation directory, and my installation directory is/usr/local /):

Export maven_home =/usr/local/apache-maven-3.0.3
Path = $ path: $ maven_home/bin

Use the source/etc/profile command to make the change take effect.

4. Check whether the test is successful.

Enter MVN-V in the command line. If the information containing Apache Maven 3.0.3 is displayed, the installation is successful.
