Step 1: Download grub4dos-0.4.4 software online;
Step 2: Download Ubuntu installation image file ubuntu-10.10-desktop-i386.iso online;
Step 3: Set grldr,grub.exe, initrd. LZ, menu. lst, ubuntu-10.10-desktop-i386.iso
Full copy to the C root directory; partial files in the grub4dos-0.4.4, partial files in the ubuntu-10.10-desktop-i386.iso
The Casper directory;
Step 4: delete all content in menu. lst and enter the following content:
Title install ubuntu10.10
Root (hd0, 0)
Kernel/vmlinuz boot = Casper iso-Scan/filename =/ubuntu-10.10-desktop-i386.iso locale = zh_CN.UTF-8
Initrd/initrd. LZ
Step 5: Modify the boot. ini file in the C root directory and add the following content in the last line:
C:/grldr = "ubuntu"
Step 6: restart the system. When the system is started, the Ubuntu menu will pop up. Select it to go to the Ubuntu installation interface.
The image file enters the Ubuntu system.
Step 7: after entering the Ubuntu system, run the following command:
Sudo umount-L/isodevice
To unmount the mounted disk, and then double-click the Ubuntu system installation icon on the desktop to start installing the system.
Be sure to select a manual partition, and then determine the corresponding disk partition based on sda0, sda1, sda2, and the corresponding disk capacity and usage,
Find the partition you want to install, delete the partition, and create a 1 GB swap partition as the virtual memory. The remaining settings are ext3 or ext4 partitions,
And install the system in the partition. Follow the prompts to install the remaining steps.
