Install hadoopimagine-How Creativity works on Ubuntu 10.04

The installation steps are as follows.

1. Install running hadoop on Ubuntu Linux (single-node cluster)

2. handle errors

After the installation is complete, according to the examples in the official documentation, the problem is always prompted, including the cause of the environment variable and permission.

The lesson is to create a user for hadoop to avoid this series of problems, which also exists in step 1.

After all these steps are completed, run:

Bin/hadoop jar hadoop-examples-*. Jar grep input output 'dfs [A-Z.] +'

Will prompt:

Java. Lang. outofmemoryerror: Java heap Space

Solution:

Modify/etc/hadoop/hadoop-env.sh, that's right, there is also a hadoop-env.sh here.
