Install Ubuntu8.04 in Windows (xp + vista) -- Linux general technology-Linux technology and application information. For more information, see the following. My system is Vista (sp1) + XP (sp3 ). A few days ago, I downloaded the alternate and desktop image files of Ubuntu 8.04.

I heard that Vista (sp1) cannot be guided by Grub. I have never dared to install Ubuntu, And I am worried that Windows will not be supported.

Today, we have a whimsy. When we use XP, we use daemon to mount the desktop image and Install inside windows is running automatically.

I allocated 8 GB space on the D Drive (ntfs), So I installed it. Restart and install Ubuntu in the startup Item.

After installation, start Vista, xp, and Ubuntu. I don't know if Ubuntu will be installed differently from it. I will continue to find it later.

I can't believe that Ubuntu can be installed on the NTFS file system as a Windows program.
