1, after installing Linux in VMware, to Windows XP to see all the network connections, you should find in addition to the original network card, but also more Vmnet1 and Vmnet8. Netmask (subnet mask): 255.255.255.0
Default gateway: 192.168.0.1

Primary DNS: Enter your own DNS. Other leave blank.
Save the settings. If you haven't set the host name: Go to/etc/sysconfig to find network, edit hostname. Then in/etc
Hosts in the directory to join:
192.168.0.2 Yourhostname
Open the terminal and enter the following command to restart the service:
/sbin/service Network Restart
