Today, finally more than 10 days ago installed in VMware in the Linux network configuration has been done, happy AH.
Just use the virtual machine, it is fascinated by its magical virtual function, because it has always wanted to install Linux on the computer, but because it is incompatible with windows, afraid of an installation of the original system damage. But in the virtual machine really can run very well, feel very good. But the Linux powerful network function if did not learn, that I am afraid can not say to really learn Linux. So I looked for a lot of information, but the information is not complete, after all, personally try to be the best way to learn.
In this process, the following article to help me the most, first put here: http://snapteam.blogchina.com/2320226.html.

Now let's do the Linux network configuration. Here is the use of Windows as host, linux as guest.

1, after installing Linux in VMware, to Windows XP to see all the network connections, you should find in addition to the original network card, but also more Vmnet1 and Vmnet8. If you read the instructions, you should know that Vmnet1 is a hostonly interface, and VMNET8 is a network interface that uses NAT. Here we don't want to use VMware's own DHCP nor do we want to use his NAT. So we just set the VMnet1.

2, we will use hostonly this network interface to connect the virtual machine and host, and then take advantage of the Windows xp/2000 with the Internet Connection Sharing (in fact, a simple route NAT) to allow the virtual machine through the original network card for extranet access. Note In the virtual Machine network card settings select: Host-only:a private network shared with the Host.

3, check the properties of your network card connected to the network, select the "Advanced" tab, set to allow sharing (if you have enabled Vmnet1, if not already used, please right-click Vmnet1, select Enable)

4, again check your VMnet1 properties, look at the TCP/IP protocol settings, you found that has been automatically set to 192.168.0.1/255.255.255.0. Other items need not be filled in.

5, Windows under the settings completed, into the running Linux virtual machine.
Press the Red Hat icon-> System Setup-> Network, click Configure, and then double-click the device in the Device tab.
Set your eth0 IP address to static (if static is not selected at installation).
IP (address): 192.168.0.2 (or other address on this network segment)
Netmask (subnet mask): 255.255.255.0
Default gateway: 192.168.0.1
And then, in the DNS tab,
Primary DNS: Enter your own DNS. Other leave blank.
Save the settings. If you haven't set the host name: Go to/etc/sysconfig to find network, edit hostname. Then in/etc
Hosts in the directory to join:
192.168.0.2 Yourhostname
Open the terminal and enter the following command to restart the service:
/sbin/service Network Restart

6, open the browser, start a wonderful network tour bar.

Also note that the use of fedora in VMware, because the program default function key Ctrl+alt and Linux CTRL+ALT+F5,F6,F7 and other function keys conflict, will cause in the virtual machine Linux can not be used normally. So be careful to change the function key in the virtual machine software edit->preferences. This makes me depressed a lot of time.
