1. Install the dependency management tool using one-line command Homebrew
Ruby-e "$ (curl-fssl https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Homebrew/install/master/install)"

2. Install the extension
Brew Install Php56-memcache php56-memcached

3. Installing Memcache
Brew Install memcached
Start/Stop command

Memcached-d
Killall memcached
Join boot Start

Cp/usr/local/cellar/memcached/1.4.20/homebrew.mxcl.memcached.plist ~/library/launchagents/
