Mount vmdk virtual hard disk partitions with vmware-mount in Linux

Vmware-mount is a tool of VMware, which is available in both Windows and Linux.

Windows can be downloaded directly from the VMware website.

Linux can be obtained through two aspects:

1. Install the vmware-workstation client for Linux. After the installation is complete, the vmware-mount tool will be used.

2. Download the compressed package of the vmware-workstation server to extract the vmware-mount.pl file.

View the partition of the vmdk Hard Disk:

Vmware-mount-p abc. vmdk

Load vmdk partitions:

Mkdir/tmp/abc_1

Vmware-mount ABC. vmdk 1-O ro/tmp/abc_1


The above 1 indicates 1st partitions. If the load is 2nd partitions, change it to 2.

Detach a partition:

Vmware-mount-x
