Oracle RAC 10g for Solaris Environment Uninstall (ii) uninstall of cluster software

Source: Internet
Author: User

The database was uninstalled in the previous article, and the database software was deleted.

As has been mentioned at the beginning of the article, improper unloading of the RAC environment can cause problems. Normally, you should uninstall the modifications made by cluster first, and then uninstall Clusterware.

It should normally be performed under the Ora_cls_home directory:/install/rootdelete.sh remote Nosharedhome–force, which should be performed on each node of the RAC and then executed on one of the nodes/ Install/rootdeinstall.sh. Deletes the modification of the raw device header by the ASM instance.

However, if you do not pay attention to uninstall, it is easy to clean the cluster without the cluster environment directly unloaded.

For example, the following does not clean up and directly uninstall Clusterware:

$ cd $ORACLE _home/. /crs/oui/bin

$./runinstaller

Still click Deinstall products. Select the Clusterware installation directory, this is oracrs10g_home1, and then click Remove to delete:

Oracle will eject the uninstalled component details, confirm, and start uninstalling.

Oracle will pop up a prompt stating that the Clusterware installation directory/data/oracle/product/10.2/crs will be deleted after uninstall, if you confirm the delete press Yes, do not delete the directory, press No,cancel to cancel the operation. Select Yes to continue here.

There are also alarms during the deletion of cluster, stating that some directories do not have permission to delete on Racnode2 and RACNODE3 nodes, a warning that is normal and can be ignored.

After the uninstall is complete, check the log file and the location of the file is still in the Oracle_base/orainventory/log directory:
