Recently, I talked to a team of 30 people about project management. They wanted to familiarize themselves with the system and inherit from our college examination platform. They had to make mistakes in the early stage. After several days of communication, instead, I have some knowledge about the problems that occurred in my previous project management!

Problem:

Maintenance personnel do not understand the code!

Cause:

Incomplete preliminary documents and code specifications ineffective

During our preliminary development, the requirements for documents were improved after completion. However, we were wrong. The documents were all required for preliminary planning and post-summary, the inheritance of documents makes us a valuable asset. Our lack of attention to documents makes it difficult to maintain and upgrade documents later!

Fortunately, we found the problem early and we still have time to supplement the document!

Solution:

1. Documents should be created in advance

At the beginning of the project development, a series of documents should be published to support the rapid development of the project. At this document establishment stage, we did not do well and many documents were incomplete, even if many documents are not created, the project development speed is rather slow!

2. Moderate document size

A very large document is not a proper document. During project development, you must write appropriate documents, which are of the proper size and classification. You must create an index, indexes outside the document and content indexes inside the document, so that we can quickly find the content we urgently need!

3. Check the document repeatedly.

The execution and creativity of a team is the life of a team. However, it is normal for us to clearly understand that our teammates are not gods and they have emotions and conflicts, where is the progress of the project? We want our teammates to finish the required work at the specified time. At this time, the system is the best guarantee!

How can we form an effective management system? By relying on feedback, we can document feedback results so that we can understand the changes in each piece!
