By default, putty does not support Chinese display. When you use putty ssh to connect to a remote linux host, if the host has Chinese characters, the putty client usually displays garbled characters.

Setting the putty display allows putty to display Chinese characters, provided that the linux host supports Chinese characters. you can install the Chinese character package on linux:
