Introduction
1. Swap

This recommendation is only applicable to general users and has special requirements, such as the Swap size requirements for application servers or database servers and related software, such as Oracle.

2./boot

The/boot partition contains the kernel of the operating system and the files used by the boot program. Generally, it is automatically created when the operating system is installed.

3./home

To store user information that is different from the system data, you need to create a separate partition and VG for it so that the user data can be retained during upgrade or re-installation of RHEL.

4./var

The/var directory contains many applications, including Apache. It is also used to temporarily store the downloaded update package. Make sure that the/var directory has sufficient space for downloading.

5./usr

The/usr directory contains most RHEL system software. By default, the installation requires at least 4 GB. If it is used for development, the size needs to be doubled.

6./tmp
The/tmp directory is well known and will not be described here.
