Many home users are now using similar types of broadband Internet access via telecom ADSL or other companies. Because of the low cost of broadband, and for most of the home users who do not have a large number of data downloads, it is a waste of resources for a family or a computer to monopolize an ADSL. So now a lot of people are sharing a broadband internet connection.

This way of sharing the Internet is generally as follows: Telephone line--Voice separator--ADSL cat--Broadband router--switch hub--computer

In this case, after thinking and experimenting, I found that it was possible to restrict access to the Internet by properly setting up a broadband router.

Here take Tp-link tl-r402m as an example (because I found most people use this method) to talk about the steps to limit Internet access

1. Obtain the IP and MAC address of all users in the LAN.

There are many ways to get IP, the recommended use of "LAN View Tool", a random search on the internet.

Get MAC Address method: Win+r, input cmd, use "Nbtstat-a IP address" to view

Get your own computer IP and Mac method: Win+r, input cmd, with "Ipconfig/all" view

2. Landing Broadband Router

Open IE, input 192.168.1.1 (usually this ....) ), there will be a landing window

Account: ADMIN

Password: ADMIN (default is this, generally do not change the drop.) )

There will be a broadband router settings page after landing

3. Only allow your computer to access the settings

1, set page--DHCP server--Static address assignment--bind its IP address to the MAC address (enter and save)

2, set the page--Security settings--firewall Settings--Choose to open the firewall, open IP address filtering, open the MAC address filter three--select "usually does not conform to the set IP address filtering rules of the packet, prohibit through this router" and " Allow access to the Internet only for enabled MAC addresses in a set of MAC address lists

3, set the page--Security settings--ip address filtering--Add a new entry--fill in your IP address and choose to make all entries effective.

4, set the page--Security settings--mac address filtering--Add a new entry--fill in your MAC address and choose to make all entries effective.

After this set, hey, in addition to you, no one can outside the network, but the internal network between the normal access to

4. Do not allow a computer to access the Internet settings

1, set the page--Security settings--firewall Settings--Choose to open the firewall, open the MAC address filter Two--"Prohibit the Set MAC address list enabled MAC address Internet access"

2, set the page--Security settings--mac address filtering--Add a new entry--put the MAC address of a computer that is not connected to the Internet and choose to make the entry effective.

This setting, the computer is not allowed to surf the internet, but the internal network can be normal access between.

It is more difficult for other computers to surf the internet to allow only their own computers to go online (in addition to invading the router and changing settings).
