Part 2 installation and deployment of ArcGIS Server
Note:: You need to disable the computer firewall. Otherwise, ArcGIS manager may not be able to log on!
1. Install ArcGIS Server
(1) double-click to open the installer and select ArcGIS Server for Java platform for installation. The steps are simple and not described here;
Select the installation directory to go to the next step. After installation, you need to enter the configuration.
(2) ArcGIS Server for Java platform Configuration
Select the two items to go to the next step.
Enter the password. The two accounts used admin2008 as the password to go to the next step,
Configure the password for arcgismanager and go to the next step,
Setting the cache directory is very important. It is the storage directory of services such as slice maps in the future. It must be placed in a directory with sufficient disk space to go to the next step,
If you need to use a proxy server to connect to the GIS server, select this option. Generally, if you do not use a proxy server to connect to the GIS server, go to the next step,
If this file is still required for the next configuration, export the configuration file. You 'd better not export it. Select. Do not export the configuration file to go to the next step,
Check the configuration. If the configuration meets the requirements, click the Install button. After the installation is complete, enter the authorization stage, as shown below:
Select the third item. I have received the authorization file from ESRI and are ready to complete the authorization process. Click Browse and select the generated. ECP file.
(3) authorization process
Select the keygen.exe file in the installation directory, open it, and select the server tag, as shown in figure
Select arcgisserver for feature, 100 for version, and 10.0 for version. Click All to generate the license file,
Copy the generated content, create a new .txt text, paste it into it, and save it as a. ECP file. Click Open in the previous step and find the ECP file to register it. (Note: This service provides the ESRI manufacturer with the test purpose. If it is officially used, the manufacturer shall provide the corresponding registration documents ).
(4) Configure to add users to the agsadmin and agsusers groups (important)
After the GIS server is installed, you can create two operating system groups: agsadmin and agsusers. The agsadmin group is used by administrators (such as users who create services. You need to add yourself and any other users who manage the server to the agsadmin group. The agsusers group is used by users who only need to connect to the GIS server locally without administrative permissions. Filling the agsusers Group requires a series of authorized users. For accounts that already exist in the agsadmin group, they are not necessarily added to the agsusers group.
Use the-Control Panel <all control panel items <management tools <computer management <local users and groups to add users to the agsadmin and agsusers groups. Add <advanced <search now to add arcgissom and arcgissoc to agsadmin.
Add the Administrator to corresponding groups such as arcgissom and arcgissoc. After adding the administrator, log out and log on as the administrator.
