Ubuntu Mouse and Touchpad disabled

The notebook encountered many times when typing in the touch pad caused by the wrong operation. The following three methods are summarized in Ubuntu to solve.

Shortcut key method

Some notebooks support fn+f4 similar to make the two switch directly.

Command method

Execute the following command directly under terminal to turn the touchpad on or off.

sudo modprobe-r psmouse #关闭
sudo modprobe psmouse #打开

Software approach

The two methods before installing Touchpad-indicator are manual, and this detects if a mouse is plugged in to determine if the touchpad is to be closed.

sudo add-apt-repository Ppa:atareao/atareao
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install Touchpad-indicator
