VMware ESXI6.0 Server Installation

1. Make a ESXI6.0 system installation disk

2. After the server starts, load the ISO file for VMware ESXi 6.0 and start the installation.

3.ESXi boot loader, VMware esxi boot process, version number displayed on top of screen, kernel, currently installed hardware platform, host configuration (CPU, memory)

4. After entering the VMware ESXi installation interface, in the Welcome to the VMware ESXi 6.0.0 Installation dialog box, press ENTER to start the installation.

In the End User License Agreement dialog box, press the F11 key to accept the license agreement.

5. In the Select a Disk to Install or Upgrade dialog box, select the installation location and select the appropriate server name.

6. If you originally installed ESXi on your computer, or if you have a previous ESXi version, a container with ESXi and Vmfs Found will pop up, prompting you to find an ESXi and Vmfs datastore, which you are:

Updating this esxi, preserving the ESXi data store

Or install a new ESXi, keep the datastore

Or install a new ESXi, overwrite the VMFS data store

If you were an ESXi 5.X, you can choose the 1th item. Select 2nd if you want to install the new ESXi and keep the database. If this machine is an experimental environment, you can choose the 3rd

If you are installing on a new server or on a hard disk that has just been initialized, the Confirm Install dialog box pops up, prompting the disk to repartition and all data on that hard disk will be deleted.

7. Then enter the car until the password is set.

8. VMware ESXi will then start the installation and display the installation progress.

9.VMware ESXi 6 installation is faster, after the installation completes, the "Installation Complete" dialog box appears, 1-13, press ENTER will restart.

10. When VMware ESXi starts successfully, in the console window, you can see the current server information showing the CPU model, host memory size, and management address of the server currently running on VMware ESXi 6.
