VMware View 5.0 Rookie Tutorial (i) Environmental preparedness

The list of virtual machine machines required for the entire experimental environment, including the machine name, IP, and installed software as shown in the following table:

1, prepare vsphere (ESX/ESXI)

To prepare for vsphere, it is strongly recommended to use ESXi 5 in view 5 and install Vcenter Server. The vcenter server in vsphere 5 requires support from Windows 2003/2008 64bit, and it is recommended that 2vCPUs, 3G memory be used.

The test environment is as follows:

ESXi ip:192.168.1.10 dns:192.168.1.201

Vcenter ip:192.168.1.203 dns:192.168.1.201

2, prepare the domain environment

The VMware view environment must use domains if you already have a domain environment that can be used directly without having to be built. If not, please refer to the following steps to build the domain environment.

This test domain environment is as follows:

Domain Name: vmware.com

Domain controller: ad.vmware.com ip:192.168.1.201 dns:127.0.0.1

Step 1: Prepare a Windows 2003/2008 installation CD or ISO, insert it into the system, and create the first domain controller. Set a fixed IP address, and set DNS to "127.0.0.1".

Step 2: Start installing the domain environment, click "Start/Run" enter "Dcpromo", click "Next" in the Ad Installation Wizard that appears, and start configuring the domain.
