VMware Workstation virtual machine after cloning Linux NIC does not start workaround
Method one applies to Bootproto=auto auto Get IP (static IP also line)
After cloning, the VMware virtual machine discovers that the original eth0 of the cloned host will be gone, instead there will be a new Mac Nic Eth1. This article solves how to reasonably change the NIC to eth0.
Ifconfig
Nmcli
Vim
Method/Step
1
Ifconfig eth1 determine the MAC address of the new network card.
Nmcli con determine the UUID of the new NIC
2
Vim/etc/udev/rules.d/70-persistent-net.rules
Delete the relevant information of the original eth0 and change the name of Eth1 to Eth0
3
Cd/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts
Vim Ifcfg-eth0
Hwaddr= now the actual Mac
Uuid= now the actual UUID
4
Restart the virtual machine after the above processing is done!
