The last time VMware 4.5.2 build8848 was installed, it turned out to be expired when VMware Tools was installed. I found out on the internet that this version is classic, but after all it is old and cannot be used ~ _~. So I upgraded it to VMware-workstation-5.5.1-19175.
1. Uninstall the original VMware instance first, and restart it twice in the middle.
2. Install VMware-workstation-5.5.1-19175, register. OK
3. I found that the new version of VMware has added the team function, which should be very good.
4. Select open an existing virtual machine in the VMware-workstation-5.5.1-19175 and find the. vmx file of the previous version. In this case, all the previously installed RedHat Linux 9 is found.
5. Install VMware Tools 5.5.1-19175, which is included in the new version of VMware. There are two versions: rpmand tar.gz. I use tar.gz. decompress the package and run the pl file. Follow the prompts. If you want to select a directory, press enter to select a resolution.
6. After successfully installing vmware-tool, we found that it was easy to use:
1) The mouse does not need to be switched over with CTRL + ALT. It will automatically determine whether it is still in Linux in windows!
2) the resolution can be adjusted.
There may be other functions that I have learned ....
