Vsphere 4 Host Profiles Illustrated tutorial

First of all, this feature requires you to use the Enterprise plus license. (The 60-day evaluation version is Enterprise Plus)

The host profile feature, simply, captures the configuration information for a configured VMware ESX host and publishes it to other hosts to be configured. This is especially useful for large-scale deployment of a virtual data center. Below, briefly describes how to apply the host profile

"Create host Profile"

Select View→management→host profile from the menu

DOT Create profile

Expand and select the template host that is already configured

Type a profile name, such as Esx1_profile.

Point next, will display a summary, dot finish. Such a host profile is created.
